Salted!

この登り窯は今回塩釉の窯として焼いたので、
薪からの灰が溶け、塩がそこに加わって、
面白い釉薬をかけてくれました。

窯出し開始。

窯出しした作品は地面にこうやって並べていく。

At Pope Valley I slept peacefully with the deep owl calls and the calming sound of the flowing creek under the most beautiful night sky. 


I feel like that my soul is still in the valley. It takes time for me to recover, and to be back to the real world.


窯出しから帰っても、現実に戻るのにはだいぶ時間がかかってしまう。


満天の星と天の川で彩られた夜空の下、ふくろうの声や川の流れを聞きながら、あんなに幸せに深い眠りにつけるのはここだけかもしれない。


魂だけ置き忘れてきたような気さえする。

Under the blue sky、
こんな青空の下、

The huge oak tree trunk is moved,
こんな大木がテコで動かされ、

The wood chopper is working hard,
強力な機械を導入して、

And more chopping is done by an ax.
みんな斧を振り下ろして木を小さく割っていく。

Split wood is stacked for the firing.
割られた薪が出番を待っている。

窯詰め開始！

Making the door for the finished chamber.
窯詰めが終わったらブリックを重ねてドアを閉める。

Spraying soda into the first and second  chambers.
ソーダを一番目と二番目の窯にスプレーする。

Putting rock salt into the third chamber.
三番目の窯には岩塩を入れる。

Firing!
よく燃えています。
